Today has been quite an adventure! We did a lot of fun things today, and I am glad that we got to go out and see as much as we did. Here are a few pictures from our day, I hope you enjoy them!
We started off the day at the Grand Hyatt and I was able to interview an alternate delegate from the 3rd District, which is where my hometown is in Upson County. Lauren and Meghan also had interviews scheduled at the Hyatt, so this morning was a productive time for all of us!
This evening we were able to visit the Policio Hub/Lounge on Ashley Drive. They were filming live at the event, and we were able to see the anchors live as well as on the tv's broadcasting in the back of the lounge!
After writing our stories at the hotel, we intended on visiting a few of the protester lots but got a little lost instead. So, we changed our plans and headed over to Ashley Drive, and we saw a small elephant statue so I thought it would be a great photo op!
Since today was my 21st birthday, we went to Ybor City and ate dinner at The Columbia Restaurant. The Columbia Restaurant was founded in 1905 and features Spanish and Cuban food. The restaurant has multiple dining rooms and a flamingo band and dancers each evening. Dr. Carlson, Dr. Swint, Chase, Weston and I ate on the patio, and had a great end to a fantastic day!
